Good morning! I hope your Monday is going well so far.
Last week, the featured card had a simple little koala on its cover, just like this one! But this week’s beautiful card from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Marcy Denning, has a completely different feel from last week’s.
This just proves that despite some people believing stamp sets are restricting, they can actually be highly applicable to any project if you challenge yourself to think outside the box and do something differently than you usually would. For example, colouring the stamp differently will produce a completely different look, adding little accent pearls can give a more elevated and fancy finish, and using more feminine colours allows for a daintier and more delicate feel. All these little changes will make a huge difference in the end.
Something else I love about this card is the colour choices and how well they work together. While red and green are complementary colours, they can also be a little too strong when the wrong shades are chosen. So that is why I love the pink with the fresh green! These colours make the card feel more harmonious and complete. Furthermore, by adding the incandescent pink pearls, it adds some texture and some shine without taking away from the focus of the card.
Thank you so much to Marcy for sending me this gorgeous card, I am certainly feeling inspired by this piece of art!
