Project Overview

Who says this stampset is only for Valentine’s Day? With the cheerful yellow daffodils, it is sure to cheer up anyone during the cold days of winter.  Creating a handmade card is a wonderful way to show someone you care, and this cheery yellow creation is a perfect example of a thoughtful, personalized design.

Start by cutting the Daffodil Delight cardstock into several pieces for the card’s layers: a large base of 9 3/8” x 4 ¼” scored at 2” and 1” on each end, with smaller pieces to add texture and depth.

Then, cut the Floral Designer Series Paper into pieces that will fit nicely on the Daffodil Delight, adhering them with tear & tape for a secure bond.

The inside of the card gets a simple yet beautiful touch with a 5 ¼” x 4” piece of Basic White Cardstock stamped with a heart in Pumpkin Pie in the bottom corner.

For the front, a banner die-cut from Basic White, stamped with a sentiment in Memento Black and a row of hearts in bright, cheerful colors, adds a striking focal point. Dimensionals give the sentiment a lifted effect, while a butterfly embellishment completes the design. Be sure to use a bone folder for crisp, clean folds that make your card look polished and professional.

This card will bring a smile to anyone who receives it, showcasing the love and care you put into every detail. Stampin’ Up! Products were used which can be purchased at my store using the links listed below.

Final Thoughts

With this card, using a bone folder to create crisp folds that will help your card lie more flat is a good idea!
