"Thanks for Showing You Care"

Instructions:

Step 1: Your card kit should contain: Enough pieces to make two cards: Two large 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”scored pieces of Berry Burst cardstock (pre-scored and pre-cut), two pieces of 5-1/4” x 4” Peaceful Pine cardstock, two pieces of 4-1/4” x 2-3/4” Peaceful Pine cardstock, two pieces of 5” x 3-3/4” Basic White cardstock, two pieces of 4” x 2-1/2” Velvet Meadow specialty DSP (flower paper), and two pieces of 2” x 1-3/4” Basic White cardstock. Divide your kit into two kits, one in each envelope, with equal number of items in each kit. Keep the envelopes to put your completed cards in when you are done.

Step 2: Do your stamping first, to give the stamped pieces a little time to dry. Lie your white pieces and your DSP on the desk in front of you, the small white piece horizontally, and the large white piece and DSP piece vertically. Now take out the Peaceful Pine Ink (green). On your small white piece, you will use the single-stem stamp with the four leaves and stamp it diagonally with some room above for the clover. One your large white piece, use the 4-stem stamp and stamp it onto the lower left hand corner of this piece. Now, take out the Bubble Bath Ink, stamp a clover head onto the little card piece atop your single stem, and on the large white card, stamp the word “THANKS” slightly down from the top and slightly over from the left, then stamp the four flowers atop the four stems. Next, take out the Berry Burst Ink for the large white piece only, stamp the words “for showing you care” directly below the “THANKS” and slightly offset to the right so it has the same amount of white space on each end, and next, stamp the group of three flower stamens into the middle of your three open flowers. Put these pieces aside for a few minutes to dry. Lastly, stamp the work “THANKS” in Memento Black ink at the top right corner of your DSP flower paper.
Step 3: Next, place your largest piece, Berry Burst, flat on the table horizontally. Hold the right hand side of the card flat on the table so that it does NOT bend on the far right hand score EXCEPT at the middle of the score. In one motion, to fold the card closed, with the index finger of your other hand, push the middle of the card from behind upward at the same time as folding the card in half (the short middle score will move upward while the short side scores will fold in the opposite direction). Now, with the card folded, the long score on the front will bend backwards toward the left hand side. Use the bone folder if needed, to get your folds to stay.
Step 4: Now, attach your piece of 4-1/4” x 2-3/4” Peaceful Pine cardstock on the front of your folded card so that the midline is over the right edge of the narrow left hand panel, framing it evenly with Berry Burst, and center the DSP flower paper on this one.

Step 5: On the back of the card, attach the 5-1/4” x 4” Peaceful Pine cardstock so that it is centered and evenly framed in Berry Burst, then center your large white stamped piece on it.

Step 6: With your card opened flat, attach your small white stamped piece onto the small right hand centre portion of the base horizontally and centred on that portion.

Step 7: Around the left hand smallest centre portion of the base, tie a piece of Bubble Bath ribbon. Your card is now done!
