Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone enjoyed yesterday's blog highlights! There were a ton of amazing projects. If you didn't get a chance to look, go to yesterday's post and click on the link. And don't forget to vote for your favourites! I'd be grateful if you chose mine!
Today I have another project for you. There is a brand new (to Stampin' Up!) product in the Occasions Catalog called Brushos. These are so much fun to play with!!!! They are basically a watercolour powder, and react when wet. One tip I learned after making this card (ok 30 of this card--it was a lot of fun and I wanted to use it for a swap I was doing!), is to wet the back of the watercolour paper first, then it will warp less as it dries (because both sides will end up wet so they will dry more evenly). But this card would be perfect with a gift card for that teenager you don't know what to get!
To use the Brushos, I've been told they work best on watercolour paper (which is what I used). First, heat emboss your stamped images (I used white embossing powder), then once set, spritz water on the page. Once the paper is damp, sprinkle on the Brushos powder, and watch it react and spread. If you want it to spread more, spritz with more water. Try to make sure that the Brushos do react and aren't left in powder form. And then just assemble!

If you purchase the Brushos, your initial thought will be to remove the lid. Don't. Leave it sealed. You want to take either your piercing tool, and pierce through the lid to make your own "salt shaker" (I only pierced one hole per colour) and use washi to cover the hole when not in use, or use thumb tacks and leave the tack in place when not in use.
Oh, and did I mention that Epic Celebrations is FREE!!! That's right, just spend $60 before shipping and tax at www.lisahenderson.stampinup.net, and then select the Epic Celebration stampset as your FREE Sale-a-Bration item!
