Welcome back! Today I have a card we did a while back for one of classes. I love how this turned out--the Tufted Embossing folder is one of my favourites for Baby cards!
Aren't those elephants gorgeous?
To purchase the supplies to make this card:
Start with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4" to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base. Cut a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss with the Tufted Embossing Folder. Wrap the linen thread around the embossed piece and tie a bow. Adhere to the card base.
Stamp the sentiment and the elephants on a piece of Thick White cardstock leaving enough space to die cut the images with the Stitched Shapes dies. Colour the elephants with the Smoky Slate Blends using Old Olive and Balmy Blue blends to colour the background (with the blends, quickly colour the image with the light blend, highlight the shading with the dark and recolour with the light to blend the first two layers together--work in small areas for best results). Cut the coordinating scalloped circle using the Balmy Blue cardstock. Adhere the circles together. Adhere to the card base using dimensionals. Adhere the sentiment to the layered circles to finish the card.
