Today I have a card to share with you from my friend Diane Inkster! I love how she made the background for this card--and let's face it, you know I love the elephants!
I love how she used the crackle background stamp to create the card base. It reminds me of sand that is so dry it cracked.
To create this card:
Start with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4" to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base. Stamp the crackle background in Crushed Curry ink on the front of the card base. Cut a 3" x 3" piece of Basic Black Cardstock and 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" piece of Thick White cardstock. Stamp the elephants on the Thick White cardstock in Memento Black, stamp the sentiment on the card base. Colour using the Smoky Slate and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. Adhere the stamped square to the Basic Black square and adhere to the card base. Add the glittered gems to finish the card.
