Trees and Wood Blog Hop with Global Stamping Friends

Lisa Henderson card Cards demonstrator Designer Series Paper dino days Global Stamping Friends paper Stamp & Create Stamp & Create with Lisa Stamp and Create with Lisa Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! Canada stamps

Welcome back!  Today I am taking part in the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  Our theme this month is Trees and Wood.  At first, I wasn't sure how I would tie it into my product of the week, but I completely forgot about the palm tree in the Dino Days stampset!

Now, I am not normally great at #simplestamping.  I love dies, and embossing folder, but I'm fairly happy with how this turned out!

I do love that T-Rex!  but I will be honest, the footsteps ended up finishing the card a bit.  I was surprised by how much I loved it.

To make this card, start with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Lovely Lipstick card base.  Cut the leaf paper in the patterned paper pack to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and adhere to the base.  Cut a piece of Lovely Lipstick to 3 3/4" x 5" and a piece of Whisper White to 3 5/8" x 4 7/8".  Stamp the tree trunk and the footsteps in Early Espresso, the leaves in Old Olive at the top of the tree, the T-Rex in Pretty Peacock and the spikes in Lovely Lipstick on the Whisper White Cardstock.  Adhere to the Lovely Lipstick piece and adhere to the card base.  Cut a banner to 3/4" x 3" and stamp the sentiment in Memento.  Adhere using dimensionals.  Add the gold metallic pearls.  That's it!  If you need any of the products for this card and you live in Canada, you can shop in my online store at or by clicking the product links below.
