Welcome back! I hope you had a great weekend! I work weekends at the moment, thanks to COVID, but I love working, so I'm ok with that!!! What I am not good at--emergency homeschooling. But I try.
Today I have a card to share with you from one of my team members, Michelle Lavoie. I love this card! She made the frames around the dandelions using scraps of a watercolour background and the Stitched Rectangle Dies. LOVE that!
To make this card:
Start with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Thick White cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4" to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom in Memento ink and set aside.
Die cut 4 rectangles using the Stitched Rectangle Dies, using the die that is approx. 3 1/4" wide. Stamp 2 using the Dandelion Wishes stampset in Memento and set aside. Use your aquapainters and ink refills (I like to add 2-3 drops of water from the aquapainter to 1 drop of ink from the ink refills and mix together) to watercolour the other 2 squares, particularly around the edge. Diecut out the centre of the watercoloured rectangles once dry to create the frame.
Adhere the Dandelion stamped rectangles to the card base using tear tape. Adhere the water coloured frames over the top using the foam strips to finish the card.
