Pretty Cards & Paper Blog Hop - Come Sail Away

Lisa Henderson card Cards come sail away demonstrator Designer Series Paper paper sailing home Stamp & Create Stamp & Create with Lisa Stamp and Create with Lisa Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! Canada stamps

Welcome!  Today, I am taking part in the Pretty Cards & Paper International Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper.  And I have been featuring the whole suite for the last two weeks, so make sure that you check back at past blog posts!
And I came up with a card that is a bit of an untraditional colour combination for this suite, it was inspired by our Artisan Design Team!
To make this card, start with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base in Rococo Rose.  Cut a piece of 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" basic black cardstock and a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the designer series paper.  Cut a piece of the ribbon to approx. 5 1/2" long (a bit longer to ensure that you can wrap it around the designer series paper), but colour it with the Rococo Rose Dark Stampin' Blends before adhering to the paper.  Adhere the layers together and onto the card base starting with the ribbon (don't be me and forget to add the ribbon--but if you do, know that you can cut the ribbon flush).  Diecut the seaweed from the gold and Rococo Rose papers.  Also diecut the anchor, steering wheel and label from the gold foil paper.  Diecut the circle from the basic black cardstock using the layering circles dies.  Stamp the sentiment and birds in versamark and heat set with the gold embossing powder.  Adhere the circle to the label.  Adhere the seaweed to the card.  Then add the steering wheel and the anchor.  Add the label using dimensionals.  Add the enamel shapes to finish.  To purchase these supplies and more if you live in Canada, you can go to or click the product links below.
Now, these ladies are unbelievably talented and I love being a part of this team!  Make sure you follow thru the blog hop for more incredible inspiration!
