Pretty Cards and Paper International Blog Hop - Brightly Gleaming

Posted by Lisa Henderson on

Hello!

Welcome back!  Today I am taking part in our monthly blog hop with the Pretty Cards & Paper International Design Team!  This month, we have chosen to feature the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper.  This just might be my favourite pack of paper ever!  I have a few scraps left from THREE FULL PACKS!  It is that gorgeous!

Today I have a simpler card to share.  This one is simple colour blocking, making it easy to reproduce.

To make this card:

1.  Cut a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Very Vanilla Cardstock and score at 4 1/4" to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.  Cut a second piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".  Stamp the snowflakes in Pretty Peacock and set aside (you want it completely dry prior to heat embossing the sentiment to make sure the embossing powder doesn't stick to the snowflakes).

2.  From the Brightly Gleaming designer series paper cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the Pretty Peacock with the copper scrolls, and a 2 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of the ornaments.  From the copper foil, cut a 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" piece and a 2 1/2" x 5" piece.

3. Adhere the Pretty Peacock with copper scrolls paper to the card base.  Adhere the ornaments paper to the coordinating foil rectangle and adhere to the card base.

4.  Using the Copper Delicata ink, stamp the sentiment and add copper embossing powder.  Heat set.  Adhere the stamped piece to the coordinating foil square.  Adhere to the layered card base using dimensionals.

That's it!  If you live in Canada and are looking to purchase these supplies, click on the product links below.  Then make sure you follow the blog hop around, this is a seriously talented team!

Enjoy!
