Make It Monday - Hello There!

Lisa Henderson CASE Pieces & Patterns Stamp & Create Stamp & Create with Lisa Stamp and Create with Lisa Stampin' Up! stamps

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  I know I had a fantastic time at the crop on Saturday, and a relaxing day with our little family today :)

I'll be back tomorrow with more about the crop, but today I wanted to share with you a card we did at our last card class--and because it's Make It Monday, a few little directions too!

This is a case of a card from Aline at trashtortendesign.wordpress.com.  I really liked her original card, but I did make a few minor changes.  You know, like completely forgetting to include Lemon Lime Twist ink in the background--but ultimately, I like how it came out, and it does use the first stampset I "had to have" from the new catalog!

1.  Take a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" piece of Shimmery White cardstock and fold in half to get a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card base.

2.  Using the powder pink ink pad, squeeze some ink onto the top of the ink pad lid.  Add 1-2 drops of water to the lid using the aquapainter, then pick up the colour using the aquapainter and spread on about 1/5 of the card front leaving a gap between the edge of the card and the colour.  Repeat with Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, and Tranquil Tide, moving down the front of the card with each colour.

3. Once dry, stamp the bubbles from the Pieces & Patterns stampset in Basic Grey on the base.

4.  Stamp the bear and the hello there from the Pieces & Patterns stampset, in basic great on scrap whisper white cardstock or the shimmery white cardstock.  Cut out using the paper snips once dry.  Mount on the card front using dimensionals (or the brand new mini-dimensionals!).

Fairly simple right?  But super cute!

I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial.

Thank you so much for joining me!
