Make It Monday - Dream

Lisa Henderson card Cards demonstrator Make It Monday paper Stamp & Create Stamp & Create with Lisa Stamp and Create with Lisa Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! Canada stamps Tranquil Textures

Hello Everyone!

Happy Monday! Monday's always mean a new product of the week, and this week I am focusing on the Sea of Textures suite:

The Sea of Textures bundle.

The Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper.

Over the next week, my projects will feature this suite.  Sometimes, like today, I will only use the Designer Series Paper, and other times I will only use the stampset and dies.  I hope you enjoy the week I have planned for you!

Today I have a very simple card to share with you for Make It Monday.  This one only features the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper as noted above, but I love how it turned out!  Sometimes we don't get neutrals in a monocolour sheet like this, so it was kind of nice to have this piece of Crumb Cake in our designer series paper!

Added bonus - it pairs so well with Blackberry Bliss and Silver Foil!  I think Blackberry Bliss may just be my favourite Stampin' Up! Colour!

Wouldn't this make a great graduation or congratulations card?

To make this card:

1.  Take the Crumb Cake cardstock and cut it to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".   Score at 4 1/4" to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.

2.  Cut a piece of the Blackberry Bliss cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4" and a second piece to 5 1/2" x 1 1/4".  Cut a piece of the Crumb Cake dotted paper from the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper to 5" x 3 3/4".  Adhere the designer series paper to the large piece of blackberry bliss cardstock.  Adhere the layered piece to the card base.  Adhere the strip of blackberry bliss approx. 1" from the bottom of the card base top layer.

3.  Use the big shot to diecut the blackberry bliss portion of the dream catcher (I did the outer circle and the inner dream catcher at the same time--you can use a piece of washi to hold them in place if need be).  Diecut the word dream and the full dream catcher from the silver foil piece.  HINT: Be like my friend and fellow demo Christine Alward, and while diecutting, also use the adhesive sheets.  I NEVER think to use the sheets, and prefer to "struggle" with the fine tip glue instead, which is a bit messier but also works.  Once they are diecut, adhere them to the card base.

That's it!  Super easy, but it really pops!

Enjoy!
