New week, new product to feature! This week, I am mostly featuring the Beauty Abounds bundle! I still have a few projects to share with you the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series paper--after all it coordinates beautifully and is one of the products you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration!
Those two big dies layer over one another beautifully! But today, I skipped these dies (although I did use the layering circles dies), for something a bit different. I had never tried colouring on non-white paper with the Stampin' Blends markers, and boy am I glad that I did! I will definitely be doing this again!
To make this card:
1. Cut a piece of the Grey Granite cardstock to 4 1/4" x 11". Score at 5 1/2" to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base with the fold at the left hand side. Cut a second piece at 4" x 5 1/4" for stamping.
2. Using the stamping layer of gray granite, stamp the swirl in Memento Black ink from the corner going up, and from the corner going to the left. The two will overlap in the corner. On a scrap piece of whisper white, stamp the butterfly in Memento Black.
3. Using the Petal Pink and the Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends, colour the leaves and flowers of the swirls, working in small areas at a time. When complete, run through the subtle embossing folder to add texture. Adhere to the card base.
4. Colour the butterfly as well. Fussy cut the butterfly and set aside. Stamp the sentiment on Mint Macaron cardstock. Cut it and a white scalloped circle using the Layering Circles dies. Layer and adhere the mint macaron circle onto the scalloped white circle. Layer and adhere the butterfly onto the layered circle. Adhere the layered circle onto the card using dimensionals.
