Welcome back! Today I am taking part in the Design It With Designer Series Paper International Blog Hop and we are featuring the Designer Series Paper, Tranquil Tide!
Confession - I love the idea of this designer series paper, but for some reason it wasn't my favourite, that is until I started working with it! I love what I came up with. I've been using this fancy fold (a gate fold) a lot lately. It's fairly simple, and yet it creates a unique looking card that you don't see often in store bought cards. In this case, my "cluster" in the centre actually acts as almost a door knob to open the gate!
Thanks for reaching out somehow seems like the perfect sentiment for an octopus with reaching arms!
And I got to use our new glimmer paper--I love being able to add some shimmer! And did you know that if you love the Stampin' Blends as much as I do, and have them ALL (it's an obsession I swear, but it is so worth it!!), you can recolour our basic jewels and pearls to match whatever your project is? For this card I recoloured them using my dark blackberry bliss stampin' blend. So worth it!
Here you can see how I split the centre cluster a bit. The flag tucked nicely under the octopus' legs when shut.
