Adventurous Journey - Tear Strip Card

Lisa Henderson

Hey everyone!

I’m back with another card using the Adventurous Journey stamp set, just to show you there are so many different ways to go about using one set.

Sometimes you have the most beautiful designer series paper that you want to show off, but cannot find a good balance where people will be able to appreciate the paper without it taking away from the main focus of the card. That is why I find that this tear method is the perfect way to do just that! Furthermore, this tear also creates a fun and unique accent that people don’t see very often, which sets my work apart from most other cards.

Another aspect about this card design that is great is the fact that this would be the perfect cover up for any accidental tears. For example if you accidentally cut your paper in the wrong spot, instead of throwing the whole sheet away, you can just tear it more, but in an artistic manner, to make it look intentional. This is applicable to just about any design and something I really appreciate about it. I hope you feel inspired about this and moving forward, turn mistakes into part of the design!
