Glenda Mollet - Sending Smiles

Lisa Henderson

Hello hello!

I hope your Monday is going well, mine is going pretty smooth actually! I am so excited to share today’s card with you. It comes from Glenda Mollet, my friend and fellow demonstrator! It is super fresh and has the most amazing summer-y feel, which is perfect for this hot summer weather.

Although birthday cards are great and super important, I am glad to receive some cards every once in a while that are centered around something more seasonal and fun, as it keeps things nice and interesting. Beyond the words and focus of this card, I really love the simplicity of this card, which helps keep your eyes where it’s important. The bright flower and dark-coloured phrase really pop against the white background and produces a very clean look.

To create the textured background, Glenda used the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders with a regular sheet of cardstock. This is a great way to add some visual interest without distracting from the main focus of the card. Finally, to add some extra pizzazz and flair to the card, Glenda added a brushed brass butterfly and a few rhinestone jewels on. These catch the light differently and make the whole project a little more interesting. Thanks so much, Glenda for sharing this awesome work!
