Framed Occasions - Happy Future Ahead

Lisa Henderson

Happy Halloween everyone!

This marks the end of the spooky season, but I am really looking forward to the upcoming holiday season. So cheers to a happy future ahead… wait a second, that’s what this scrapbook layout theme is! Coincidence? I guess we’ll never know…

I love the colours in this layout; the way light purple interacts with dark blue and teal is just beautiful! The base for this project almost looks like an oil painting, and I like the visual texture it provides. Then to contrast that, I included three super smooth white sheets of cardstock where you can post pictures or write little entries to remember milestones by.

Using the Blossoming Happiness dies, I cut out a bunch of little flowers in the colours of the 12x12 background cardstock and layered them on top of one another. Finally, to add a few fun details to this project, I added some brass butterflies. I love these butterflies because they are so versatile and can be added to just about any project. So whenever I’m not sure what I can do to add some details and fun to a project, I go with these guys!
