Crop Kingston's first weekend retreat!

Hello Everyone! Welcome back!  We just recently held our first weekend retreat at the Four Points Sheraton here in Kingston, and we had a great time!  Thank you to all that joined us! Here are some photos of the event.  Check back later this week (and yesterday's post) for the make & takes! Here is the room before we started: Our view from the window (so glad we were inside!  It turned out to be the perfect weekend for crafting!) Feb Fest was going on down the street so there may have been a BeaverTails run! Our first challenge -...

Make It Monday - with Stampin' Up!'s Bubbles & Fizz

Hello Everyone!   I hope you are having a fantastic Family Day weekend (and apparently I missed all of last week so hopefully you had a great week too!).  It's been a bit busy around here, but I am slowly getting caught up - ha! Today I wanted to share with you photos from our recent weekend retreat--but because it's Make It Monday, I thought I would just show you one of our make and take projects today, and then show you more later this week! Instead of doing a 3d item like we do at our day crops, I came...

From the Heart

Hello Everyone! Welcome back!  I have one last project to share with you from our last crop, this one from Amanda, my partner with Crop Kingston! Isn't it a great card!  It could work for Valentine's Day, Anniversary, Wedding, anything really!  The background pink paper is from the Memories & More Petal Palette card pack, and so are the birds--they're just cut from one of the cards!  Super simple and cute! Enjoy! Want to join us for our next crop at St. Lawrence College?  Our next day is February 24th.  Registration closes February 14th.  To register or find more information,...

Gift Card Holder using Memories & More

Hello! Do you like to give gift cards but wish you could dress them up quickly?  Look no further, this has to be one of the fastest gift card holders I've ever made! This was our 3D project for our January Crop at St. Lawrence College in Kingston.  To make this, take the 4x6 Memories & More card with the birds on it from the Petal Palette pack, colour it using the blends (you just need Smoky Slate & Old Olive combo packs), and score it 1 1/2" in from both ends.  Take a small pink 3x4 pack from the...

Bring on the Sunshine

Hello Everyone! I'm back with another one of the make & takes from the crop in Elgin.  For this crop, the grab bags included the Color Theory Memories and More pack.  I love these packs, they are so versatile!  They are mainly for pocket scrapbooking, but they work so well for cards and scrapbooking too!  This time, I also used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.  I meant to enter it in their October challenge, but missed the deadline by a day!  Oops!  But I absolutely love using sketches as a starting point for scrapbook pages.  It gives you an idea...
