Happy Monday! Today, I am here with a beautiful fold card to share from fellow demonstrator Celia McDiarmid!
This card has artfully mixed patterned cardstock with stamps and dies. The big featured blue flower at the very front of the card was achieved with the Blossoming Happiness dies while the bold cardstock is from the Hues of Happiness designer series pack. This matching set allows the card to flow seamlessly from the floral background to the fold that opens to reveal the contents of the card.
Another aspect to note about this gorgeous card is the way Celia carries the light teal colour throughout the entire card. From its initial appearance in the floral cardstock, it makes its way into the rhinestones and the borders of every fold and page of the card. This ties the whole card together and gives it a very collected feel. Finally, I find that this card has found a great balance between patterns and a clean surface. While the bold floral pattern is extremely prominent and beautiful, it can also be a little overpowering if overdone. So that is why I appreciate the smooth white cardstock acting as an anchor for the words; it makes sense it doesn’t feel too cluttered and messy.
