Hello Everyone!
Remember that card from our June Team Meeting by my downline Betsy? Here is another photo in case you forgot:
Well, as the WOW project for my Watercolour Class, I did my own version!
One thing I learned this week, from a course I signed up for with Erica Cerwin a while ago (yes, I am behind!) is that you can watercolour using Wink of Stella! The little crab was coloured by inking an acrylic block with Calypso Coral Ink, and then picking up colour and painting with my Wink of Stella Brush! Now, the colour is much redder, and the gold Wink of Stella makes it look like it has the algae type discolouration that you find in real life! Love this technique!
Not only did I copy Betsy's fancy fold idea, I also used her idea of creating my own background papers. I used the back Soft Sky piece and stamped the fist from Dear Heart in a pattern in Soft Sky, watercoloured the Soft Sky and Crumb Cake stripes on the front panel, and watercoloured the background behind the crab. Did I mention that I made 16 of these for a swap I was in and for the samples???
